During the year 2013 that is when Purle walked into our lives. Literally. We were both out in the field working very hard and the next thing I know Derek says look honey. So I glanced over at our driveway. Low and behold there was this beautiful dog with the biggest ears. She was just standing there. So I walked out of the field and went over to our driveway fence. She got down on all fours and crawled over to me. I fell in love with her that day.
I loved everything about her. She was well trained, she was obedient, and she knew she found herself a place to live. Derek and I did try to find her owners. We went to all the vets to see if anyone was missing her but no one was. I believe that God sent her to us because she was perfect. She was absolutely perfect. All good and perfect gifts come from above.
Now the first thing we realized was that even though she is perfect she was afraid of certain noises and stuff. Our guess is that she had a bad start to begin with. We’re not exactly sure what happened to her. So Derek and I decided to give her all our love. We are now her family.
Purle is very attached to me. She is so attached that she follows me EVERYWHERE lol. She is my shadow, sidekick, comrade, my confidant. If I walk into a room and close the door, she will start whining. Purle and I walk everyday up and down our driveway. She enjoys our walks. We treat her like a four legged human. As we get older here on the tuberose farm we will still try and do all the work that needs to be done around the yard and house and tuberoses. And I know we all enjoy and look forward to each season as it comes around.
